of the New Testament Church of God, WGGC consists of up to 40 committed Christians who simply love to worship God through music.Their style is dynamic, never holding back, always giving the best in every performance.
Originally formed as a local church choir, WGGC initially performed in local church concerts in the London area, however as their reputation grew, they travelled the country and in 1992 finally had their first break when they performed on the Gospel TV show "People Get Ready", along with the internationally renowned Oslo Gospel Choir. From there on they have performed in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Italy, France, Czech Republic, and all over the United Kingdom.
In 1997 the Choir reached another milestone when they released their first CD album, "This Fellowship". The album consisted entirely of original songs written by Isaac Carter, Paul Brown and Andrew Smith, and was received to critical acclaim in the BGM industry which culminated with it being nominated for the Best Gospel Album Award at the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards. |
